About
I recently graduated from Brown University with a Ph.D. in Classics and have joined the faculty in Classics at Creighton University as a Resident Assistant Professor. My dissertation (A Variable Tapestry: Identity and Politics in Greek Sicily and Southern Italy) examined the complex role of collective identity in shaping social and political events, decisions and strategies in the Greek colonies of Sicily and southern Italy, c. 600-200 BCE. My research and teaching interests include interdisciplinary approaches to Greek and Roman social and cultural history, especially from the perspectives of multiculturalism and ethnicity, as well as Greek and Roman historiography and poetry.
